Full Time Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher (40 hours per week) Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher that is caring, nurturing and dependable for our infant program. Prefer 4 year degree in early childhood/child development or the NAEYC equivalent. May consider qualified applicant with two year early childhood degree plus the WI Infant Toddler Professional Credential with the intent of obtaining four year degree in the near future. Experience working in group child care a plus along with current SIDS, SBS, CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification. Person is responsible for developmentally appropriate and individualized curriculum planning, Focused Portfolios, parent-teacher conferences, updating of NAEYC classroom portfolio, for a group size of 3 infants or 4 toddlers (room is single-staffed). Teacher receives paid breaks (works 7.5 hour day) and paid planning times. Satisfactory completion of probationary period enables teacher to qualify for paid time off, holiday pay, education allowance and to become a union member. Health insurance is available after 90 day waiting period. Position begins 2010. Part-Time Teacher Assistants or Substitutes (flexible hours per week) Prefer qualified individuals with college credits and/or degree in early childhood/child development and experience working with children. CPR and Pediatric First Aid along with Infant/Toddler class a plus. At minimum, must meet the state requirement for a child care teacher.
